Catering in Langley — City and Township

Two jurisdictions, one name, and very different drives — Fort Langley out to Aldergrove. Farm and barn venues planned around what the site has.

There are two Langleys. The City of Langley is a small, dense municipality around the Fraser Highway; the Township of Langley is the much larger rural and suburban ring around it, taking in Walnut Grove, Willoughby, Murrayville, Brookswood, Fort Langley and Aldergrove. They have separate councils and, for our purposes, separate drives — Fort Langley is up on the river, Aldergrove is nearly at the Abbotsford line.

From our White Rock kitchen, the near edge of Langley is a straightforward run east on Highway 10. The far edge is a different afternoon. Telling us the neighbourhood rather than the city is the single most useful line on a Langley enquiry.

Farm, barn and field venues

The Township is where most of the region’s farm and barn event venues are, and they are the venues most likely to have nothing in them. That is fine — it is just a thing to plan rather than discover. What we need to know about your site:

  • Is there power, and how far is it from where the food goes?
  • Is there running water, and somewhere to wash up?
  • Is there a flat, covered prep surface for our team, out of the sun and out of the weather?
  • How far is the parking from the serving point, and what is the ground like between them?

Those four answers decide whether a plated event is realistic or whether a buffet is the better evening. Both are available; they are not the same amount of work in a field.

Where the food comes from

One kitchen, at 1531 Johnston Rd in White Rock, cooking on the morning of your event. Nothing is made days ahead and frozen. We have no Langley location — we drive out to you, which is why the route and the site matter as much as the menu.

Highway 10 is the usual road east; Fraser Highway serves the City and Fleetwood side; Highway 1 is the fast option for Walnut Grove and the north end.

What we cater here

Weddings and celebrations at the rural venues, which is buffet stations or plated courses with our team there to serve, replenish and clear. Office lunches for the Willoughby and 200th Street business parks. Sports teams and clubs — Langley has a lot of them — portioned per athlete and delivered to the field or the clubhouse. And family gatherings in rooms with very mixed appetites and diets.

For anything with a long outdoor day, boxed delivery is often the honest answer: individually packed, labelled, holds well, and clears fast at the end.

Menus, diets and the quote

The catering menus are a starting point rather than a fixed list — we extend them, swap dishes, or build something new around your guests, and the cuisine can be different every time. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, keto and low-carb options run through every menu with a dietary key, and we cook around allergies you tell us about when you book. Produce comes from local BC farms first, in season — several of them not far from where your event is.

Pricing is per guest, set by the menu and the level of service, and the quote lays it out line by line before you commit. Staffed dates fill and we may want to arrange a tasting at the kitchen, so for a wedding or a gala, book as early as you can.

Send the date, the guest count and the venue and you will hear from a real person within one working day, or call +1 (778) 957-7213. Other areas: catering across Metro Vancouver.
