FAQs
Everything people ask us before booking catering, ordering a bowl, or turning up at the counter. If your question is not here, ask us — we answer quickly.
Catering & events
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can for staffed buffet or plated events, since dates fill and we may want to arrange a tasting. Delivery orders need less notice. Send the date and we will tell you straight away whether we can do it.
Can you cater for allergies and dietary needs?
Yes — it is how the kitchen is built. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, keto and low-carb options run through every menu, everything is labelled, and we cook around allergies you tell us about when you book.
Is the menu fixed?
No. The catering menu is a starting point. We can extend it, swap dishes, or build something new around your event and your guests.
How is pricing worked out?
Per guest, based on the menu and the level of service — delivery, buffet, or plated. Your quote sets it out line by line before you commit to anything.
Can I taste the food first?
Yes. Tastings are available at our White Rock kitchen; ask when you enquire and we will arrange a time.
Where do you deliver?
Across the greater Vancouver area from our White Rock kitchen. For venues further out, ask — it often works.
What happens after I send the form?
You hear from a real person within one working day with a proposed menu and price, or a couple of questions if we need more detail. Nothing is booked until you say yes.
Do you only cook Indian-inspired food?
No. Every catering menu is built for the client — Indian, Thai, Japanese, Cantonese, Greek, Italian, French, Ethiopian, a brunch — and for the budget in the room. Tell us the occasion and the number and we build it from there.
Who do you cater for regularly?
Companies such as Lululemon and Monark Ventures book us for their events through the year — some of them several times a month — because the menu can be a different cuisine every time.
On the day
What is the difference between delivery, buffet and plated?
Delivery is food brought to your door, labelled and ready to serve — you handle the rest. Buffet means we arrive ahead of your guests, build and dress the stations, serve and replenish, then clear up. Plated means each course is served to the table by our team. Every service page lists exactly what is included.
Do you provide plates, cutlery and staff?
Delivery comes with compostable bowls, cutlery and recycled-plastic cups. Buffet and plated service include ceramic or compostable serviceware, beverages, servers for the duration, and clean-up afterwards.
When is the food cooked?
The morning of your event. Nothing is made days ahead and frozen.
Who do I speak to on the day?
The person who quoted your event is the person who planned it, and they are reachable on the day.
Food & sourcing
What does "Ojas" mean?
Ojas is the Ayurvedic word for vigor — physical strength and good health. It is what we are trying to put in a bowl.
Where do your ingredients come from?
From local British Columbia farmers wherever the season allows. Buying locally keeps opportunity in the province and means the produce reaches you while it is still worth eating.
Do you have vegan and gluten-free options?
Throughout, as standard rather than as a special request. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto and low-carb dishes are marked on every menu with a dietary key.
Is the packaging recyclable?
Bowls and cutlery are compostable and cups are recycled plastic. Staffed catering runs on ceramic.
What is different about your pizza dough?
It is Neapolitan style, proofed for seventy-two hours with no instant yeast, at close to fifty per cent hydration — which is what keeps it light and airy. Every batch starts from a mother dough we have carried forward for thirteen years. A slow rise like that is easier for the body to digest and does not leave you bloated.
Do you make your own sauces?
Every sauce and every protein is made in our kitchen, with no preservatives.
Is your produce organic?
We buy from local British Columbia farms first, in season, and from certified-organic suppliers when the season cannot supply it. We do not hold organic certification ourselves, so we do not describe the dishes as organic — the sourcing is the claim we can stand behind.
Ordering & visiting
Where are you, and when are you open?
We are on Johnston Road in White Rock, open daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The full address, a map and directions are on the Find us page.
Can I order delivery from the restaurant?
Yes — through Uber Eats, DoorDash or SkipTheDishes. Each kitchen has its own links on the Locations and menu pages.
What is Too Good To Go?
An app for surplus food. We list our end-of-day meals there rather than throwing them away, so good food gets eaten at a fraction of the price.
Is there a pizza deal?
Thursdays: gluten-free and vegan pizzas at a discount. Ask at the counter for the week's price.
What should I order first?
The four most-ordered bowls are the Funky Chicken, Yogi's Paradise, the Cauli-Sutra and Why Not Poke. Every pizza has its own following.
Holiday menu
How do holiday dinners work?
Choose a package, order through the form or by phone, then collect it from our White Rock kitchen — or ask about delivery. Everything arrives labelled with simple reheating notes, so the table is ready in under an hour.
Is there a vegan holiday menu?
Yes — a full plant-based table, not a substitute plate: roast vegetable loaf with cranberry glaze, stuffing, mashed potato, baby beets, sprout salad and pumpkin spice cake.
When can I order?
The holiday page says whether ordering is open and, when it is, the date to order by. Outside the season you can still see the menu and ask to be told when it opens.

We reply within one working day — and if it is urgent, the kitchen picks up the phone.
