Catering in Delta — Ladner to North Delta

Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta are three separate places sharing a name. Each is a different drive from our White Rock kitchen.

Delta is three communities that happen to share a municipal government. Ladner sits on the flats by the river, Tsawwassen runs down to the ferry terminal and the border, and North Delta is up on the slope above the Alex Fraser Bridge. They are not next to each other in any useful sense, and the drive from our White Rock kitchen to each is different enough that “Delta” on its own tells us almost nothing.

Which of the three you are in is the first thing we need to know.

The three drives

  • Tsawwassen — west on Highway 99, then Highway 17. Flat, direct, and usually the most predictable run we make in that direction. Traffic is a ferry-schedule problem rather than a commuter one.
  • Ladner — the same road, a little shorter, then into a village street grid that is narrow and genuinely tight for anything larger than a van. Worth telling us if the load-in is on a side street.
  • North Delta — north up Highway 99 and across to the Highway 91 corridor, or up Scott Road. This is the longest of the three and sits in the morning commuter flow, so for an early event we leave earlier.

There is one kitchen behind all of this: 1531 Johnston Rd in White Rock. Everything is cooked there the morning of the event. We do not operate anywhere in Delta — we drive to you from the other side of Boundary Bay.

What that means for the format

All three service styles are available across Delta. Ladner and Tsawwassen take a plated or buffet event comfortably, because the roads are quiet and the arrival time is a good deal more predictable than it is on a bridge route. For North Delta, and for anything with a hard start time in the morning, boxed delivery and buffet are the formats that absorb a delay without anyone noticing.

Buffet means we arrive ahead of your guests, build and dress the stations, serve, replenish, then clear up — with serviceware, beverages and servers for the duration included. Delivery arrives labelled and ready to serve in compostable bowls, and you handle the rest.

What gets booked here

A lot of hall and community-centre work, a lot of home gatherings, and farm and waterfront venues around Ladner. For any of those the useful detail is what the site actually has: power, water, a prep surface, and shelter. We would rather plan around a bare room than arrive expecting a kitchen.

The usual mix is family gatherings, office lunches for the business parks along the highway, and wellness-led menus where vegan, gluten-free and keto are the brief rather than an afterthought.

The food, and what it costs

Every menu on the catering menus page is a starting point — we extend it, swap dishes out, or build something new for the room, in whatever cuisine suits. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto and low-carb run through all of it as standard and everything is labelled, and we cook around allergies you tell us about at booking. Sauces and proteins are made in our kitchen with no preservatives.

Pricing is per guest, set by the menu and the service level, and your quote sets it out line by line before you commit to anything.

Send the date, the guest count and whether you are in Ladner, Tsawwassen or North Delta and a real person replies within one working day. Or call the kitchen on +1 (778) 957-7213. The rest of the region is on the catering areas page.
